How Sweet

My friend Slater gave me this today before I leave for the Dominican Republic.

Yes this is a real flower, just saying.
I mean seriously how awesome are my friends, very! :)

Goodbyes

I have said goodbye many times.

But it doesn't get any easier

This weekend I had to say goodbye to all of my church friends since I will be in the Dominican Republic until the 6th. I am so thankful for each and every one of them and I know that God has put each other in our lives for a reason. After all the people that came up to me saying how proud they were of me. And them saying that they will be praying for me everyday I'm gone. And all of the last hug goodbyes. After all that I couldn't help but smile and thank God for such amazing friends. I hate having to say goodbye to them. But I will see them soon and it will be worth it when I share all the stories and everything. If you are one of my HSM friends I would like to say thank you for everything and I will miss you. And to all my other friends I would like to thank as well and I will miss you too. So goodbye for now I shall see you soon.

Post Script: I'll try to blog tomorrow but if I don't I will say once again: Goodbye blog land! I shall see you soon!

Thanks Andrew!!! :)

Now I already mentioned that my friend Andrew has kindly let me brow his Harry Potter books for the airplane ride to the D R and for reading to finish the series. So today when I walked into the green room to sing at the Worship Conference I was given the books. When he gave them to me he told me that all together there was a total of 2,000 pages. And right when he said that this thought came into my head, Dang, I got a lot of reading to do.

In 5 Dayz

I will be waking up very early

I will be ready

I will be boarding a plane

I will be leaving for the Dominican Republic!!!

Ahhh I just can't even believe that I am actually going on this life changing trip! I can not wait to see what God has in store for me when I get there.

Now keep in mind that I will be on a plane pretty much most of my day. We fly to Miami where we have a 2 hour lay over and then fly to the D.R. I know what your thinking, that's a lot of flying. I know it's early and I know I'll be tired but it will be so worth it though. But don't worry I will be prepared for that flight. I'm not going to bring my iTouch because a) I'm afraid I'll lose it and b) we're not allowed to anyways. So that got me thinking, "What am I supposed to do in those airplane rids besides sleep if I don't have my iTouch." Now I have been in this situation before and my plan didn't work out so well. But now I know what I'm up against and what to do. So today I went over to my local Barnes and Nobel and bought......Mad Libs. That has helped me survive other long distance trips before and has never failed once. I will also be bringing Harry Potter books 4-6, courtesy of my friend Andrew (Thanks Andrew!!! :). I might not finish all of them but I will bring them, just in case. And if those don't work (doubt it!0 I am still surrounded by some people that I love with every little piece of my heart (my team a.k.a my friends). I'm so excited.

Not Regrets

For those of you who don't know I love Transformers. And I was so stoked to hear about the new movie. You may or may not know but it premiered tonight/ this morning at midnight. You may be thinking that I am blogging about how awesome the movie was but you would be wrong. That's right I didn't go. I wanted to but I really didn't make plans so ya. But I'm kinda glad I didn't go. The reason why is because I was very tired that day and I had to get up early the next morning. Don't get me wrong I mean I would have loved to go but I can only do so much. I mean I haven't even been out of school for a week and I have already done so much. I guess I can go see it some other time. Also I just have so much going on: Worship Conference/Refinery Drive-In movie night on Friday, Church all weekend, packing for Dominican Republic on Monday, and then I leave not-so-bright and early for the Dominican Republic on Tuesday. I know I have said this thousands of times but I'll say it again.............. I'M SO DANG EXCITED!!!!!! WOOOOOOO! And besides I still have plans to see the midnight premiere of Harry Potter ;).

The Feeling of Summer

Normally it takes about a week for me to get that real feeling like you know it's summer vacation. Yesterday I didn't have that feeling. Which is weird because I was at the beach with some dear friends. Not to mention it was such a beautiful day. Oh and it was on a Monday. But today when I walked out side and felt that warm summer sun of my cheeks I knew that the summer feeling had finally come. That also might have had to do with the fact that i was coming from a new hair cut. And I love the feeling after a fresh new hair cut. You know light and just fun. Oh and in the car I was wearing my red Ray-Bans, new Refinery shirt, and torn up jean shorts. I know, I've gone OC-summer. But that's what you get in Southern California. But right now I have a view of a beautiful day out my window, drinking Coke, and having lunch. Man I love summer. :)

'What Time is it? SUMMER TIME!'

That's right summer has finally come. Which means I am finally a Sophomore! Ahhhh i can not even begin to say how dang excited i am for this summer. It's going to rock! Already I have had an awesome day. Not counting the fact i had to take a math and English final. But i did find out that i got an A on my research and tech. final, an A in my English final and a C on my math final but it's ok because that left me with a B in the class. After school my family and i ate lunch at Red Robin. Note: one of my favorite restraints. And i will be leaving soon to spend the night at my friends house! What an awesome way of saying hello to summer.

Favorite School Subject: My math teacher is awesome, not my favorite subject though. English I guess. And Drama is fun.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor: Strawberry

Worst Injury: A "Road Rash" on my arm when I fell at school

You just won a free vacation. Where do you go? England or maybe a cruise to Hawaii

The Finals Report- Day 2

The results are in for my Science final. I got an A!! Leaving my with a B in the class, phew. I haven't gotten the results for anything else but i should by tonight.

So today i had my P.E. and Research and Tech. final. In P.E. our final was a cultural dance. What did my group do you may ask? We did the Hoedown Throwdown. You may be arguing that it's not cultural but it was approved by our teacher so it was fine. I think my group did amazing. I was so happy that we were able to pull it off. I was happy to know all that work made a difference and we were able to succeed. It was really fun doing it too :). One group did this Indian dance. It was really creative and really we thought out. The music, the dancing, everything. But don't get me wrong I was proud to do the Hoedown Throwdown in front of my class and I had fun doing it too.

To end the day i had Research and Tech. I for on thought that that test was easy, no problem. It was cool that he let us listen to our iPods during the test. Even though were allowed to do that in class any day, but still. After we did the written part we made this simple little 6 slide power point about what we learned in the class, again easy.

So i guess you can say i had it really easy today and i would have to agree. But tomorrow is not only the last day of school but also the day i have my 2 hardest finals, Math and English. I wouldn't say that their hard but i would say that they take a long time. And to tell you the truth those wouldn't be my first choice to have on the last day of school when i am just ready to get the heck out of here. But hey i guess that's high school. :)

The Finals Report- Day 1

Not too bad which is what i expected, kinda. Well in science we took our test and it was great, especially if your teacher lets you use your study guide which he did ;). Once we were all done we finished the movie October Sky. It was so great i love it! If you ever get the chance to watch it you should, you won't regret it. I highly recommend it! Then soon enough it was time for Drama Workshop. I'm so sad that it was our last day there. I had fun in that class and met some really awesome and fun people. My teacher was amazing too. I mean sure there were times when i didn't really like it but i learned that i had a lot of fun. We watched all our finals (made movies) i loved ours it turned out really funny and was happy to be in that group. Shout-out: By the way Mackenzie, Garrett, Alexis, and Ashely. Your video was so funny i loved it, great job guys! Then after the videos we watched a little Napoleon Dynamite! I love that movie it makes me laugh every time.

Tomorrow's report- i have P.E. and Research and Tech. Then after that i will only have one more day of school!

Summer is so close yet so far.

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Broke Up with 0 Period

Here's the thing. I normally was scheduled to have 2 electives next year. Which would be Art and Latin1. Now a while back i was told by my mother that i didn't have to take a language to graduate. When she said that i was thrilled. So i had a plan in my mind to see my councilor and discuss the matter. But i kept on putting it off. Today i said to myself that i had to go today no matter what. I was worried that she would say it was too late or something. But i was wrong she allowed me to do it. And now i don't have to take a language throughout my high school career! I'm so very happy about this. Knowing this makes me excited for my art class next year. I think it will be nice to take a break from acting. I think i kinda lost an interest for it ever since i started singing at church. I'd do choir here but it interferes with band at church. I can only do so much. But i'm excited for art. then maybe i'll do photography the year after that. I don't know. But God dose and knowing that makes me smile :).

Zero period i'm sorry but we are over. Heck we didn't even star. You didn't seem like much at first but then i found out the truth about you. And that is just too much for me. Truthfully i would rather see Mr. 1st period to start my morning. Now if you'll excuse me i will be in my office dancing like there is no tomorrow since i am so happy i broke up with you. Hahahaha see ya won't miss ya!

Sincerely,

Maddy Rose Vujnov

It's That Time of Year Once Again

I'm talking about finals. Now you may or may not remember of my thought about my finals from last semester, easy. But that was until I remembered all the review sheets we get and have to work on. I guess it's harder now since it's the last week of school and we are just ready to get the heck out of here. I just finished my science study (which he'll let us use during the test!) and also my 7th math sheet. I was hopping to ask some questions about the study guide today in science but we once again watched a movie. I mean seriously dose he want us to fail this test? That's the 4th or 5th day in a row we watched a movie. Don't get me wrong but the movies we have been watching to past few days are great (October Sky and Apollo 13) but we have a final cumming up on Wednesday. I try to do as much work while he's showing the movie but I get distracted.

So after a long day of working on problem after problem. Not to mention trying to get through the school day with only 6 hours of sleep (I'm still having trouble with falling asleep). I am very, very, very tired.

And we are.
Gotta love Photo Booth
And the Apple Store. :)

2% Done

I'm talking about Drivers Ed. I just started taking it today and so far I have completed the first Unit and passed my first test. It's not as bad or as hard as I thought it would be. Now I'm just am determined to complete the other 98% of it. I'm actually glad that I'm starting now because I will be out of school next Friday and I will have more time to work on getting my permit.

Warning! Blond Moments

I have to admit I do have my fair share of blond moments every now and then. But the one I had yesterday takes the cake.

Where: Going out of backstage.

Story: After singing the first 2 songs for the children's small group graduation we headed to the green Room. Now when you exit the backstage there is this huge glass door and glass wall. Now when I was on stage I got a text message but I ignored it. I mean I wasn't going to text and sing that would be bad. So when going out I opened up my phone to view the message. The door was on my left and the glass wall was on my right. Guess what I ran into. Yep that's right I ran into the wall! Immediately me, my friend Andrew and Alyssa burst into laughter. I the type of person that if something like that happens I don't blush I laugh at myself. Andrew and I could not stop laughing. Even when we made it in the Green Room we were still laughing and when people came up to us to ask what was so funny we would say in unison that I ran into the glass wall. Alyssa and I probably mentioned it 15 times the whole way home.

Ya I know I'm blond.

But hey we all have those kind of moments.

Maybe not like mine but still.

Vujnov's Party of 6 and 1 Dog

I have not blogged about my family which I find very sad. I was thinking about this when I was typing up my family page for my web page in Research and Tech. Class. I love taking about my family and I love each and every one of them with every piece of my heart. So with out further of due I give you my family.

This is my mom. You may or may not know her from her blog or from her book, Spilt Milk. Speaking of it's on it's second printing which is very exciting. But while we wait until it hits the best seller list she is currently working at my church, Saddleback. She helps launch the regional compasses. She says that she absolutely loves it and that it's good to be back with the people she knows and loves. I like that she works there too. It's fun.

This is my dad. He is well a man of many words. Growing up with 2 little sisters he loves to mess with my brothers and I. Mainly Me and Zac who I will introduce later. I love that he sometimes jokes around but sometimes not. It's not that he embarrasses us and trust me Zac and I do not get embarrassed we could care less and he knows that. He does commercial real estate. It's so fun that he works with different restaurants and the "connection" we get. It helps at times. :)

This is the oldest brother Zac. Zac is in 7th grade and will be truing 13 in July! He has been playing baseball for as long as I can remember and that is one of the many things I love about him. As you can tell from the picture he is the jokester of the family. He's the one that makes me laugh all the time at whatever he dose. I love it when we watch Americas Funniest Home Videos together. Being almost 13 he is quite tall for his age. When I hang out with him some people think that he is older that me, I like that for some reason. I love watching him and my other brothers grow up. Whoever is going to marry him is going to be a) always entertained and b) one lucky girl. He is quite the ladies man if I do say so myself.

This is Ty brother number 2. Ty is now is 2nd grade and 8 years old. He is the yacker of the family. He is the one who has to spend every second either talking or singing. He too plays baseball and tries as hard as possible to be like his older brother. That part of him I wish I could stop but he can't help it. It's a sibling thing. He likes to spend his day watching sports on TV with Zac and my dad and playing like no tomorrow. The first thing he dose when he gets home is ride bikes with the neighbors. He is bundle of cuteness is I do say so myself. I mean just look at the little guy.
The last brother, Carson. Carson is 6 years old. As you can tell by the picture he also plays baseball. He is in many ways a lot like Ty, I will never forget the day I found out I had him as a brother. I got into my car pool's car, crying. When my friend Mackenzie asked what was wrong I said that I was sad that I have 2 stinky brothers. Then Mrs. Sains (Mackenzie's mom) said, "Don't say that Maddy you have 3 stinky brothers". He is wiled and crazy 98% of the day. The other 2% at night when he's asleep. He can be very funny at times but also very playful. He's cute too.

Last but not least my legit, awesome, sweet dog Cali. Cali has only been apart of my family for a few months and we love her with all our hearts. She is so lovable and sweet. Whenever someone is on the couch she will immediately jump on and lay down begging you to pet her. She is also quite the hunter. So far she has caught 3 birds which I find impressive. I love her guts.
So there you have it my family in a nutshell. I love them so much and thank God that they are apart of my life.

Epic Fail

The Epic Fail:

Time- 6:30 AM

Location- Kitchen

Story- When I wake up in the morning on a school day I make myself some chai tea and cereal for breakfast. So I got out: a measuring cup (for the chai) (you mix it with milk), a bowl and my cereal. But when I picked up the box to pour it in the bowl well. I poured it into the measuring cup.

Go ahead laugh all you want.

So yes, you could say that my day really did start off with an epic fail.

But hey it was early in the morning and I guess I was more tired that I thought.

So who can blame me?

Note: Actually don't answer that question.

I Expected Something Else

Today was weird in my classes today.

You would think that with finals within a week we would be starting to get review sheets to study for the test. And if you guessed that I got a whole mess of review sheets you would have guessed wrong. Way wrong. In fact I didn't get anything in class today. I'll prove it!

Per. 1- movie

Per.2- it's P.E.

Per. 3- Ok we go a sheet but we have for the past week. And besides I finished it in class today. Oh and the last one we got had 50 questions today's there was 20.

Per. 4- Drama Workshop (We filmed for our final)

Per. 5- Worked on web pages (Research and Tech.)

Per. 6- notes

So I was pretty surprised and never expected this. Before our last finals we had the review work at this time. I don't know but I guess they will come soon. And I WILL be ready oh yes I will.

The End is Near

9 more days people,

of school I mean.

WOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an Awesome Saturday

Come to think of it I had an amazing weekend.

Church

Pool Party

Shopping

Oh that reminds me. Yesterday I got to go shopping with my mom and grandma which was nice. I was real happy with what I came home with: new purple jacket (Note: my favorite color), "True Love Waits" ring, and TOMS. I absolutely love them I have this thing where I try to wear them for as long as I possibly can. I just love 'em.

I love my ring too I never take it off. NEVER!

All and all I had a really fun weekend.

:)

The Weekend isn't Enough

I am almost done with school and I am so ready for summer (Well I have for about a month now, I think). I have a lot of plans for this summer. Dominican Republic, OJAI, movie mid-night premiers ( Harry Potter and Transformers), singing at HSM, hanging out with friends at the Refinery, and lets not forget THE BEACH!!!!

I am so dang excited! I can't wait to go to the beach (well to be honest I don't know when I'll be going). I hope I can get a foam board before I go. Although I have not surfed in such a long time maybe 2 years. I will admit that I am not the greatest surfer. Of course the confession would be fine if I stopped there but it doesn't. I also surf at low waves, very low. Not waves of barely nothing but still low.

I leave for the Dominican in 25 days! I can hardly wait! I am so thankful that I am given this incredible opportunity to be able to spread the love of God to the people of the Dominican Republic. And don't worry guys pictures will be taken and posted.

OJAI!!!! If you don't know what that is it's the summer camp for HSM. I didn't go last year since I didn't know anyone and I wasn't really connected at Saddleback like I am today. I have seen pictures from last year on some of their blogs and it looks like they all had a lot of fun . Ahhh man I can't wait. Only one problem.............. it's not until August.

Oh summer wherever you are please, please hurry!

Please. :)

Drumroll Please

Remember how my poem got accepted for my school's literature magazine.

Well guess what I got today in 3rd period.

Yep that's right the magazine.

Note that this is the first issue and that they got 80 entries and only 20 were accepted.

It was nice that a lot of my friends came up to me telling me how much they liked the poem. Even one of my teachers said they liked it. It made my day.

Best Qoute of May

I just remembered something my friend Andrew said on Sunday.

Setting: Andrew helping me out with my math homework. All of the sudden my friend Taylor comes in and gives me Chai tea ( I gave him money to go get me some since he was going to Starbucks anyways).

Andrew: What's that?

Me: Chai tea (take off lid to cool it down) Man I love the smell of it.

Andrew: Hmm smells a little like pizza

Me: Umm hmmm ok then

Don't ask I don't even know.

Another Thoughtful List

Haha get it? ThoughtFUL because these lists are FUL of my thoughts.

  1. I love that I had late star today. I enjoy the fact that school didn't start until 9:30 today.
  2. HSM songs are slowly taking over my iPod, love it. :)
  3. I am so dang excited to see the new Transformers movie.
  4. 12 days of school left people! WOO!
  5. And 27 until the Dominican Republic trip.
  6. Speaking of I might or might not blog during the week I'm gone. I mean the place we stay at dose have WiFi but it only works 50% of the time. But no promises though.
  7. I signed up for HSM's summer camp, Ojai. I was worried when I was choosing on what week to go. So I text some of my church friends and I got the same answer with a lot of the replies. I was still worried when I finally made my decision. But when I saw then on Saturday I found out a lot more people are going the same week as me.
  8. Today is the start of a sub in English for the rest of the week since all the English teachers are off campus grading portfolios.
  9. We are almost done with this movie we have been watching in Science. It's very weird, it doesn't even fit with what we are learning.
  10. My life, I couldn't be any happier with how it is. :)
  11. I still haven't started Driver's Ed, I'm starting to get worried.
  12. Wait a minute I turn 15 1/2 in 12 days! AHHHH!!!
  13. I love that it's almost summer. But it seems so far away. Summer please hurry up!
  14. :3

"It's June?!"

I caught myself thinking that 5 times today.

  1. In Science (Per.1): writing down the date
  2. In Math (Per. 3): once again writing down the date
  3. Lunch: After my friend Megan said, "I got excited when I saw a June bug this morning."
  4. On the way to vocals practice: When my Grandma said, "I can't stand this June gloom."
  5. At practice: When I was talking to my friend Andrew and asked what day it was today.

I'm very excited that June has finally came. It's so hard to believe that we only have 3 weeks of school left. Not to mention that next week is the only "normal" week left. This week isn't normal since all the English teachers will be gone grading essays for 3 days. And then BOOM finals week right after that.

And you guys may or may not already know about my feelings for finals, easy. I just don't like that on the last day of school I have the two that requires the most work :English and Math. Also Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of that same week is the Worship Conference at Saddleback. All three of those days I sing with the choir. Oh boy, I've got a long week ahead of me.
